It’s been a winter unlike most, with springlike temperatures this week sending a lot of us outside without jackets. Even with the warmth, the skiing on Baldy has stayed surprisingly good, and nordic conditions are excellent. The Boulder Mountain Tour is this Saturday, and it just keeps getting bigger — this year’s race sold out back in July. Nordic skiers will head out from Galena Lodge and make the 34-kilometer push down the Harriman Trail to SNRA.

 

Sun Valley Market Report

On the real estate front, 2026 has started with a bang across Ketchum, Sun Valley, and Hailey. While sales in the luxury tier — above $6 million — have been a bit sluggish, strength at nearly every other price point has more than made up for it. Properties going under contract in January 2026 are up 65 percent compared to January 2025, a strong start to the year for the local market.

 

I had the chance to tour several unique single-family homes this week in Ketchum, Hailey, and Sun Valley. Each one stood out for its location, character, and overall appeal. Here are a few of my personal favorites.
