Did you know mountain biking is a school sport for Idaho students? NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) is growing youth mountain biking across the country. This is the 4th season for Idaho High School and Middle School Riders. We anticipate 900 Middle School and High School riders in Idaho this Fall.
To better prepare Sun Valley riders for the Fall race season I started a chapter of Summit Bike Club; a Junior USA Cycling Club. We organized 24 motivated student riders and coaches over four months of training and racing to prepare for our High School season and the US Junior Nationals for Mountain Biking.
Maybe you saw us out on the trails? These kids are a force to be reckoned with and we are struggling to find coaches that can keep up!
After years of coaxing my kids out on the trails I now chase them on BIG rides.
